Flooded with calls made by a man who calls himself Mehraj Shah from seven different cell numbers, Dolly has sought the help of the Mumbai police. The police have initiated a probe.
Dolly, who is upbeat about the release of Sidharth Anand's Tara Rum Pum Pum, which is slated for release tomorrow, she says, "I am fed up of this man, who calls up and talks cheap." She started receiving these calls way back in January, while shooting in Ooty.
"He threatens to eliminate me and even pesters me for the mobile numbers of other actors," says Dolly. Though she doesn't suspect anyone in particular but says it could be one of her "enemies." "It will be revealed soon, as the police have assured me an early breakthrough," says Dolly.
"I am under a lot of pressure but it has not bogged me down as far as work is concerned." Talking about her role in Tara Rum Pum Pum, she says, "It's a cameo. I play the role of a happy-go-lucky Punjabi woman, who happens to be Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukherjee's nextdoor neighbour. "It's a great movie and I really enjoyed working with Sidharth, as he is quite enthusiastic about his work and likes to experiment," says the actor. She says that the film has been nicely packaged, and will work well for the masses.
Dolly is also excited about another project Apne, which has been shot in Chandigarh. The movie has a good line-up of stars, and the focus remains on the Deol trio of Dharmendra, Bobby and Sunny. As for her experience of working in Chandigarh, she says: "It was nice working in Chandigarh -- the day was spent working but we go to party too."
